Requirement

Conceptualize, design and material Handling mechanism to work under the elevated temperature of 900ºC and in vacuum.

Case study

Robust mechanism was developed to transfer the material to loading chamber and then to the heating chamber in the X & Z axis movement and finally to the quenching chamber.

Suitable material & geometry was arrived initially through classical method and optimized through FE analysis to meet the design / product requirement. Smooth and unhindered movement was achieved by careful adjustment of clearance through the entire operating temperature range.
